Rich person of an important Roman inheritance, remarkably preserved, the town of Nimes, always impassioned of architecture, knew to be equipped with the wire with the centuries with cultural equipment with very first order. Square of Art, a daring architecture of glass due to the architect Norman Foster who gathers a library and a Museum of Contemporary art on the old forum vis-a-vis the Square House is one of the last and not less prestigious example.

Labellisée Town of Art and History, Nimes presents all the year, in its five museums and its municipal galleries, of very many exposures. The School of the Art schools and the Academy which, with a varied artistic formation, propose very many concerts and exposures, fall under this new cultural dynamics.

In addition to its two large Ferias at Pentecost and the Grape harvest, Nimes, side spectacles, enjoys an offer very diversified with great concerts organized in the arenas which can contain to 13.000 spectators! Theatrical programming, of great quality, is also proposed in two rooms, the theatre and Odéon.
Finally various demonstrations like the Festival of the biography, the Living room European of the data base, and the Festival France Culture… became impossible to circumvent cultural appointments on the city.
